Colleagues Run for a Cause
May 31, 2018
From Exton, Pennsylvania, to Guangzhou, China, Zoetis colleagues race to make a difference in their communities
At Zoetis, our colleagues take great pride in making a difference in their communities – even if it means breaking a sweat for a good cause. Supporting communities is one of the ways we create value for our business and society (see Our Six Areas of Responsibility). Read on to learn more about colleagues from around the world who are lacing up their running shoes for local charities.
- In April more than 50 Exton, Pennsylvania colleagues participated in the 2018 Brandywine Valley SPCA’s Walk For Paws and 5K Run. As one of the event’s corporate sponsors, Zoetis raised $3,887 for the SPCA to help homeless animals in the community, and colleagues showed their Zoetis colors in bright orange t-shirts. The Brandywine Valley SPCA serves as the community’s voice for the prevention of animal cruelty, adoption, animal health and many specialized needs.
- To celebrate the 18th World Veterinary Day, Zoetis China collaborated with the Chinese Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) to host the third annual World Veterinary Day Charity Run. One thousand veterinarians participated in races held in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu, to raise awareness about animal welfare, and to raise funds for local animal shelters.
- Colleagues from our global headquarters in Parsippany, New Jersey will also take part in the 2018 Corporate Fun Run of New Jersey in July for the third year in a row. Last year team Zoetis had more than 100 colleagues including six Zoetis Executive Team members! The event is a great opportunity for team-building and getting to know other Zoetis colleagues all while giving back to a great cause. This year’s run will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s New Jersey Chapter.
