Abhay Nayak

Abhay Nayak is EVP and President, U.S. Commercial Operations at Zoetis, the world’s leading animal health company and a member of the Fortune 500. In this role, he is responsible for leading the company’s U.S. commercial operations, driving growth and innovation across franchises, and delivering exceptional products and services for companion animal and livestock customers. 

Most recently, Mr. Nayak served as President of Global Diagnostics from November 2022 - June 2026. In this role, he brought together product management, commercial development, customer service, and sales and marketing to drive greater alignment and a best-in-class customer experience. Under his leadership, Global Diagnostics delivered double-digit growth across much of the portfolio and in most markets, while advancing innovation and expanding reference lab capabilities. 

Previously, Mr. Nayak was EVP, Strategy, Accelerated Growth Businesses, and Commercial Development, responsible for leading the company’s global enterprise-wide strategy, commercial development, and sustainability organizations. During this time, he was a member of the Zoetis Executive Team. 

Mr. Nayak has played a critical leadership role at Zoetis since joining in 2018 as Head of Corporate Strategy. In this role, he was responsible for reimagining the function, establishing a new strategic framework and planning process during a CEO transition. He led several key acquisitions and shifted the enterprise to focus on pet owners and direct-to-consumer advertising and enhance focus on digital innovation and emerging markets. 

Prior to joining Zoetis, Mr. Nayak served as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company from 2015 to 2018, where he advised leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies on pricing, marketing, and global growth strategies. He also initiated and co-led the partnerships and alliances service line of the firm’s pharmaceuticals and medical devices practice. 

Mr. Nayak began his career at Barclays, where he held the role of Assistant Vice President of Investment Banking from 2009 to 2013. He advised private equity clients on M&A, restructuring and financing transactions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He performed valuations, led due diligence efforts, and managed internal committee approval processes. 

Mr. Nayak holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
