Roni Thebo, R&D Director, Named 2018 Working Mother of the Year

We are pleased to announce that Zoetis has been named one of Working Mother Magazine’s "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers" for the fifth consecutive year. This publication selects the top 100 companies in the U.S. that lead in areas of female representation and advancement, benefits, parental leave, childcare and flexible work arrangements.

Career Advancement Opportunities and Work-Life Programs Make Zoetis Stand Out

Zoetis ranked highly by Working Mother Magazine for its career advancement programs, female representation within the company, benefits and work-life initiatives, flexible work arrangements, and health and wellness offerings.

“We are excited to once again be among Working Mother Magazine’s top companies,” said Roxanne Lagano, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Zoetis. “We strive to create an atmosphere where colleagues can give their best every day. We are honored to be recognized for our leadership in establishing policies, programs and a corporate culture that helps colleagues build rewarding careers, while maintaining healthy and happy personal lives.”

Roni Thebo Named Zoetis 2018 Working Mother of the Year

Roni Thebo, Director, Global Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, in Zoetis’ Research and Development organization, was named the company’s Working Mother of the Year. Roni is mother to four children: Josh, 21; Madison, 19, and Aurelia and Isaac, 9-year old twins.

Roni is responsible for a team that manages regulatory activities associated with the company’s global pharmacovigilance program. She began her vibrant 24-year career at Zoetis (and its predecessor companies) as a laboratory technician. Hard work, an inquisitive mind, and experience in numerous different roles have contributed to Roni’s career success. “I love a challenge. I’ve always had a need to continue to grow and change, and Zoetis has provided a place for me to do that.”

“I am very fortunate to work for an organization that understands the value of investing in its people so they can achieve both their professional and personal goals,” said Roni. “Through Zoetis’ Education Assistance program, I earned an advanced degree that helped me achieve my current position. But most importantly, the company has been very supportive of my most rewarding and impactful role: Mom. Through a host of family-friendly benefits and flexible work arrangements, I have been able to not only grow my family, but be actively involved in my children’s lives.”

Roni is also committed to making a difference in her local community. She regularly volunteers at a facility dedicated to Alzheimer's and dementia residents, helps at a homeless shelter, and serves as a mentor with the Zoetis chapter of Toastmasters.

“We are so proud to see Roni receive this recognition,” said Cathy Knupp, Executive Vice President and President, Research and Development at Zoetis. “Her passion for embracing new opportunities and enabling others to succeed makes her a great role model for all our colleagues.”
