As Director, Animal Research Support, Rose says a key part of her job is to solve problems, clear obstacles, and make it easy for her team to get work done. Rose, herself a veterinarian, leads two teams: a team of veterinarians and a team that conducts infectious disease studies. Faster and Simpler Ways of Doing Business
Rose has worked near Zoetis’ research and development (R&D) headquarters in Kalamazoo, Michigan since she joined the company in 2002. Over the past four years, Rose has partnered with her colleagues to streamline the work of her team and to support the Zoetis projects with the highest priority.
Rose loves her job. She says, “I’m lucky because I know what I do is important, which gives me great job satisfaction. All aspects of my job are rewarding to me. We are the leading animal health company for a reason: we have world-class facilities and state-of-the-art research. ”
Rose is passionate about helping her colleagues find the same satisfaction in their careers. She says it’s important they are happy, developed, and have opportunities. She led a project to create a talent development tool called the Opportunity Finder, which launched in early 2017. This online tool publishes development opportunities in R&D such as secondments, job shadowing, job rotations, and extended business trips. Rose says she is proud to be part of an organization that recognizes the value in its people.
