“Where the Jobs Are” story highlights veterinary jobs outlook and opportunities at Zoetis

Zoetis was recently featured in PBS Nightly Business Report's "Where the Jobs Are" segment that reported on a healthy job outlook for veterinary professionals. The story ran on PBS on November 3 and was also featured on CNBC.

Zoetis Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, U.S. Operations, Dr. Christine Jenkins was interviewed for the report at Zoetis headquarters in Parsippany, N.J. and Dr. Michele Barrett, Dairy Veterinary Technical Specialist for Zoetis in the northeast U.S., spoke with reporters while at work with a Zoetis customer, Spring Hope Farm, in Stanley, N.Y.

"From a global perspective, there's been an increase in demand for the expertise that veterinarians provide to society," said Dr. Jenkins. "The demand is related to the increase in the size of the human population, an increase in affluence in developing countries, as well as an increase in overall urbanization."
